As a photographer, Danny Bourque got his professional start by shooting for The Times-Picayune newspaper in New Orleans, Louisiana. Since then, he’s shot photos for clients including CNN, Parade Magazine, New Orleans Office of Film & Video, and others. To date he’s had hundreds of his photos published in print and thousands posted online. In addition to photojournalism, Danny also specializes in artistic photography and has had several photo gallery showings of his work.
Danny’s filmmaking accolades include winning the Global Audience Award at the 2007 Slamdance Film Festival, being chosen as a regional semi-finalist in the Student Academy Awards, having two films nationally air on the Independent Film Channel, winning six Telly Awards for projects he has either produced or co-produced, and winning two Platinum Ava Awards for video editing and recruiting. He was awarded the Robert E. Nims Memorial Scholarship Award toward his thesis film at the University of New Orleans, for which he earned his MFA in film production. Danny currently works as a video editor for The Moran Group advertising agency where he edits commercials for broadcast television.
