Synopsis
A mother and her young son are left home alone after the father enlists into the military.  In his absence, the mother creates a life-sized cardboard cut-out of her husband so she and her son can pretend as if he has returned home.

Inspiration Behind Flat Daddy
The scenes depicted in Flat Daddy are inspired by true events. To date, companies such as flatdaddies.com have produced hundreds of Flat Daddies for families all across the country who have relatives serving overseas. This service is offered free of charge.

Flat Daddy is a short student film produced in conjunction with the University of New Orleans film program.
